This is the lower than the lowest price ever recorded for Pro Q-3 in MSD’s database. They show $127 US at JRR Shop on 22/11/2022. However, their database does not include many retailers, so it’s really not that accurate and doesn’t even include Best Service for this item. So keep that in mind if you ever use it.

Yep, that’s exactly all there is to it. The affiliate code is simply added on to the end of URL — in this case, LinkedMusicians code is ?aid=ZBgL2roqVxRSujmR So if anyone wants to add it to a Best Service URL, a portion of the sale will go towards this site, and if they really don’t like that idea, you can strip off the ?aid=ZBgL2roqVxRSujmR part from the end of the URL and nothing will go towards LinkedMusicians.

I want to be transparent about this. I am hoping to have a method to help pay for at least a portion of the costs of running the site. If people use the affiliate link, they will pay the same price as if they used a non-affiliate version. I don’t recall off hand what the commissions are for Best Service, but they generally go from a low of 2 percent to as high as above 10 percent of the sale price. Of course, that’s only if someone clicks the link and makes a purchase within a certain period of time, commonly 30 days or less.

Someone mentioned that there is a 60 day grace period – It seems too good to be true that I could get the 25% discount and then upgrade for free – perhaps Pro-Q4 won’t be out for the next two months?

I did check FabFilter’s press info, but they haven’t made any updates since 2023. The one outlet they actively make announcements in is Instagram. I guess we’ll find out all of the details tomorrow. According to forum posts, FabFilter historically has a 60 day grace period for those who’ve purchased a previous version to upgrade to the latest version at no cost, as @dsteinschneider posted.

The deal has now expired and the plugin is at its regular price of $179 US.

Based on what FabFilter did with Pro Q-3, providing a free upgrade from version 2 to everyone who made the purchase within 60 days of the release of version 3, I’m fairly confident that they’ll do the same with version 4. We’ll find the answer tomorrow. I’ll post the answer in this thread when it’s available

FabFilter has issued a statement in their forum.  Anyone who purchased FabFilter Pro Q-3 in the past 60 days gets a free upgrade to Pro Q-4. Here’s the full statement:

When we release a new version of a plug-in we always offer a grace period. For Pro-Q 4 the grace period is 2 months (sorry not 3, I was wrong). Everybody who purchased Pro-Q 3 or a bundle containing Pro-Q 3 within 2 months before the release of Pro-Q 4 have received a free upgrade in their account automatically.

For everybody else who has purchased a license for Pro-Q 3 we have a special upgrade price with at least a 50% discount. When you have more of our plug-ins this discount will be even higher. You can purchase the Pro-Q 4 upgrade license directly from your personal upgrade offer on your account page.
