The first thing I did was chck qualifying products. And I got picture 1.
Tonex.
Then it says…see qualifying Tonex Products and I got this. That’s where the link took me.
So I bought and registered Tonex and there is no promo showing. There is some small text which says non-upgrade products don’t count. So why do they show you the qualifying products when you click the link? This may be a mistake but if it’s not then this is a sneaky, sneaky move on the part of IK.
I seriously doubt that they’re being sneaky. It’s much more likely that there’s just something on their website they missed (I’ve been responsible for websites for Fortune 200s and mistakes are a part of life for every website even when your budget is $100 million a year — true story). @peter-ik Can you shed some like on this? @MrFigg Did you just buy the regular Tonex? I realy haven’ty paid much attention to the details on their site (I’ve already exhausted my music related spending budget for the year). I just know that I’ve seen the rules state that you need a minimum purchase of $99. I would think that if you bought it directly and it cost $99 or more, you’re in. But let’s see what Peter says (the other Peter, of course!).

Yeah Pete,
I bought regular Tonex. I didn’t even want it to be honest but I like Amplitube and figured why not.
As said, the link for qualifying Tonex Products takes you directly to a page which shows regular Tonex as qualifying.
Is the problem that the product is priced under $99.99? I don’t get it. I would think if Tonex is priced at $99.99 or more — and it’s shown as $199 on the site, that it qualifies. Is that the situation of did you buy the version that’s selling for $29.99 at Plugin Boutique or something like that?
FTR, I do find having that sale going on and calling it Tonex is confusing. But the offer clearly states that the product must be at least $99.99, so that’s crystal clear. But I think the fact that Plugin Boutique is now selling Tonex for $29.99 can still confuse consumers, nonetheless.
I’m not lecturing IK (hmm, that sounds like lecturing IK!), but I really think they should reach out to their retailers and have products like the Plugin Boutique Tonex sale clearly state that it is not eligible for the IK Group Buy deal. Now, I don’t think that means someone who buys that wihout reading the $99.99 mininum copy on the IK site should be gited the Group Buy — I think that would be shady for someone to do, TBH. But I do think that there should be a clarification with retail partners to avoid any confusion.
