Thanks for posting this! I have a bunch of lists I meant to post that still needed to be refined, but your list is better than the state mine was in. So that makes me happy! BTW, you have my favorite at the bottom, Vital. I love that synth. I hope the developer keeps updating it.

Welcome. 🙂 I got a few lists in draft status that I’m making up. The others should be easier now I know this does html code. That Crisalys is an absolute arp monster gem. No idea how long it is going to last being just 32 bit, but always something there to get creativity flowing.

I really should go through it again and put beside it what OS they work on so others don’t click on stuff that isn’t going to work for them.

Um I just checked that link, sent me to some site and auto redirected to an infected site.

Edit: I also got to remove the Ujam Drive as its no longer free anymore.

Oh, really? Actually, I downloaded with no problem on this site.

About the exe file, ESET Virus Scan detected no malignancy, and Virus Total told me the result that is similar to the one of Pneuma exe got on Ronan Fed official.

I think there is some ads redirecting to somewhere.

Anyhow, we should avoid getting them from Freevstplugins.net.

@lamia6 I have some suggested additions to make to the list in the original post, at your discretion, of course. If you don’t think a synth is worthy of this, don’t include it, just tell me why! You use synths a lot more than me — and you actually know how to program them — so I defer to your judgment. Here goes:

@peter owe yes most definitely the Ocean Swift ones. Those are some wicked hidden gems. Haven’t played with the OB-Xd or Charlatan but if you like em, add em. (also got to remove the Ujam one because it ain’t free no more).

For the free sample instrument lists, I’ve been keeping up the stuff that’s no longer free (1) in case it ever becomes free again, and (2) as a reminder to people not to take the free stuff for granted. A developer giving away something free today might have a change and take it away tomorrow, or might decide to put a price on it. 8Dio was giving away a beautiful plucked piano library for Kontakt. I couldn’t believe they were giving it away free. It’s regular price is something like $99. Sure enough, they eventually made it a paid product again. The lesson? Don’t sleep on great deals! I definitely downloaded it and played around with it years ago — I would guess that it was during the pandemic — but I never tried it again. I think it was alright, I just didn’t have a use for it.

Thanks @peter. 🙂 I really should alphabetize that list. One day I’ll have an opinion of that Roland one. I hit the get cloud account last night and the little wheel kept on spinning,ended up making another song waiting for it and it still wasn’t done spinning. Gave up. I’ll get it one day. lol.
