LinkedMusicians is an online community of musicians, producers, songwriters, composers, singers, and audio engineers committed to sharing knowledge, music, and deals on gear without the censorship when sharing less than glowing praise of the businesses we buy from, and without the toxicity, culture wars, dog piling, and shilling found on other forums. But LinkedMusicians is much more than forums. We’re a social media platform with interest groups that facilitates lively conversation among group members and free resources that help music producers access useful information easily.

We believe that you should be able to participate free of concerns about being hassled, censored, or harassed for sharing opinions or experiences (an increasing problem in the big legacy forums). We’re strong believers in treating others with friendliness, respect, consideration, and kindness. We disapprove of developers attacking each other, culture wars, employees and contractors posing as regular community members to negatively review products without disclosing their connections, and community members attacking one another.
We believe that we can disagree about things and still be friendly to each other.
We believe music is a joyful experience. Some of us are professionals, semi-professionals, some of us make music for a living, some of us are music educators, some of us are hobbyists. We believe in the value of making music for the sheer joy of it. We are not here to be sycophants or hangers-on of composer personality cults. We share a passion for music. If you feel similarly, we’d love you to be a part of our community.
