Now, I have an affiliate relationship with them for AudioPlugin Deals, but the guys who own Sample Logic are the same guys who own AudioPlugin Deals, VSTBuzz, Pulse Audio, and MusicSoftwareDeals.

I think you and I both know that marketing — like all areas of business — is filled with ethically problematic practices and good ethics are not exactly common. These guys are prone to hype / exaggeration, to say the least.
