I remember when this guy popped up about 20 years ago it seemed to me he didn’t get much respect at all.  Over the years, though, it looks like he’s gained a really solid reputation for doing good stuff.

I’m definitely not qualified to assess the accuracy or precision of his effects, but I’ve seen some knowledgeable industry journalists and advanced amateurs praise his work. Also, I enjoy bringing attention to free and low cost tools, especially because some folks are on a tight budget.

That’s a great goal!  I’m really struck by what can be had either for free or on the cheap.  It’s a great time to be making music!
