I’ve been buying my domains from Cloudflare lately. They sell them at cost and you don’t need to pay extra for privacy features. Here are their current prices for .com, .org and .net:

• .com: $10.44 (renews at $10.44)
• .org: $7.50 (renews at $10.11)
• .net: $11.84 (renews at $11.84)

Many registrars offer cheap registrations or transfers, but most of them have a healthy margin on renewals.

Wow, that is cheap. Are you locked into using Cloudflare services with that or can you host elsewhere? I have a couple on Moniker I wanna get out of there for some other place. Monikers prices have gone through the roof lately.

You have to use their nameservers, but there is no other lock-in to their services.

Personally, I’ve been pretty happy with Cloudflare Pages, which can be used for free if you don’t need all the bells and whistles and your site doesn’t have huge traffic.
