NOTE: Some people might love this, but just a reminder, the EchoTheif impulse response library is free and you can use it in a free convolution plugin like the very good Convology and the free convolution reverb player from MedlaProduction — I can’t recall its name at the moment, but I love it and use the paid version regularly.
Stagecraft Software End of Life Sale – Echothief real-time reverb convolution plugin built around the use of the EchoThief impulse response library $5 through 6 October 6, 2025.

I didn’t realize that Melda’s convolution reverb had a free version. That’s good to know.
Anyway EchoThief has some unique impulses and are definitely worth a free download.
It’s part of Melda’s free effects bundle. I picked it up several years ago at the recommendation of @superabbit and love it — even though I own a few different paid convolution reverbs. I upgraded to the paid version. It comes with a bunch of really nice IRs that I enjoy and it’s just dead simple and good sounding. I do wish it had more controls (but hey. that’s what will motivate users to upgrade to the paid version!).
Here’s a link directly to the convolution reverb:

And here’s the free, and very good, Convology Reverb, which has a lot more functionality than MConvlutionEZ or the EchoTheif reverb — which I picked up free in the past, but really am not crazy about — and, once again, this is also free:

I actually have the Melda convolution reverb from a group buy or as a bonus or something and it is good, I just didn’t remember it being part of the free bundle.
I typically use ReMatrix though for my convolution needs as I like the ability to run multiple impulses in parallel and it adds a modulation feature which can add a little something extra to the impulses. I don’t think it’s worth their normal asking price but Black Friday makes the price more palatable.
