I couldn’t pick “Love” because I haven’t really used it yet

Well, I love the fact that it’s a group of people I’ve really enjoyed hanging out with. The forum app itself is okay / decent. It was actually more bare bones than what you see now and I had to get a bunch of other plugins to get it to do what it does now. I could have installed other forums, but I went with this because it’s decent and I was familiar with the ecosystem around it and already had some investments in that ecosystem in terms of plugins / software and subscriptions, plus my experience using that ecosystem. But like anything, it’s going to take time to get acclimated to this forum’s way of doing things when we’ve spent a lot of time with phpBB (KVR) and whatever it is behind what Cakewalk uses (I know they use a SaaS vendor who handles it). Where this wins is how it integrates with social media and content management applications. Plus the messaging is far better than what those forums use. FTR, I could have used phpBB. I could still have it installed tomorrow, but it would be too much of a learning curve for me and while phpBB is open source, you need to spend on enhancements to make it decent, as I did with this forum app, which is also open source.

I’m not going to lie. I haven’t looked into how to lock threads yet. I’ll get on it!

I could always create another account called Wookie — who was my pal, BTW; he confided his personal life to me. FTR, I never had a single violation of any of Cakewalk or BandLab’s policies for the two decades I was on their forums, until Jonathan Sasor came along and was offended by my sharing that I thought his berating of Cakewalk Forums members was unprofessional, out of line, and warranted an apology… And even so, I actually never violated a single BandLab policy yet he gave me a lifetime ban claiming that my criticism was hostile to a BandLab employee. That was not hostility, it was a recommendation on how to behave decently and with professionalism that any competent and ethical manager would have demanded from Sasor.

LOCKED!!! Well, this one certainly went down a rabbit hole fast, didn’t it? [Doing my best Wookiee impersonation; and FTR, he’s a great mod and I would love for him to be part of this community.]

No…Wait, that’s the other forum. This is the one where the inmates are running the asylum! Hahaha! Long live rabbit holes!!!
