FTR, I’m fine. I just didn’t want people seeing the sudden dip in my posting and think that I’m not committed. I am. I just want to be open about my situation, because I don’t want to stop, but I need to.
Your friend who keeps the beat.
DISCLOSURE: I’ve advised more than 3 dozen sample and plugin developers on branding and marketing strategy. I’ve never been paid to make posts, they reflect my sincere opinions, and I’ve never been an influencer.
I am sure most of us here will understand if you need to step away momentarily Peter, your commitment to this site has been extremely consistent and VERY much appreciated.
Secondly, apologies as I’m really not sure how much this would help with tendinitis, but i recently saw an ad for a new device called TapXR which straps to your wrist and it picks up on custom finger-tap gestures on any surface, which you would assign to computer keyboard/mouse actions. I think thats how it works at least. Could maybe be helpful as it says “works with any DAW;” I don’t know if this could also be of assistance but thought I’d pass along the info:
If what I’m imagining is possible, could maybe even combine it with something like better touch tool or keyboard maestro for even more of a tailored experience, but that’s just based on my own assumptions, haven’t read about or tested those combos, but I immediately thought of assigning each piano key’s midi cc message to a regular keyboard key, which assigns to a tap with the wristband on whatever surface is most physically manageable, for example.
