Check out my music.
I have their Hoard mandolin. I really like the way they handle tremolos (very well thoughout) but, in general, their sound is pretty rough/raw (it sounds like the player was angling his pick to purposefully get a scratchy sound) – even more so than OTS’ mandolin (which get’s really clean if you keep the velocity below 50%). So, if I must have tremolo I’ll either use the Hoard or go through the trouble of recording my own and use OTS (which sounds so close to my mandolin that I can easily switch back/forth and no one can tell which is which – listen to my version of Ashokan Farewell where tremolos are recorded while single notes are OTS samples). Also, the Hoard only goes up to B which is not high enough sometimes. I had to use Melodyne to raise the pitch to what I want. Luckily, the pitch is high enough that you don’t really hear any artifacts/wonkiness. It worked well enough.
I’m really looking for a 2nd nylon string guitar to pair up with the AmpleSound nylon guitar I use. I have 7 VSTi’s right now and the 2nd best nylon guitar is Ilya Efimov’s. Indiginus’s guitar sounds pretty good but it has some samples that are messed up, way out of character, unusable for me. The others I’ve tried (OTS, Rigid Audio, East/West, Spitfire) sound too metallic to my ears. Maybe if I could find a way to turn off fingernail attacks they’d be better. I haven’t tried that. I also haven’t tried any of NI’s offerings.
This is now way off topic – Sorry….

I don’t think what you wrote is off topic at all, and I love the mandolin-based song you shared, it’s really wonderful! The song, the performance, everything.
I love it when people share their music, and it’s pretty cool when they connect it to what they used to make a recording. Kudos. If you have any of your music on SoundCloud, I’d love to put it on an upcoming Mixtape (what I’m displaying on the page linked on the navigation bar and featured in the player on the upper right hand side of this page).

Thank you for your kind words but unfortunately I no longer use SoundCloud. Sync libraries are starting to not accept submissions stored on Soundcloud because SoundCloud allows AI to scrape it’s contents for learning. Sync libraries can’t risk any licensing difficulties that may come up due to AI involvement.

Thanks for the info. Are there other platforms where you have your music? I chose SoundCloud because it’s free for people to put up their music — so there’s no financial barrier. I don’t have the budget to host streaming for LM. I have created some Mixtapes (okay, playlists) in Spotify. Let me know if you’re there — you can always shoot me a DM.
Feel free to share your music –wherever it’s hosted — in the song-sharing forum. I really love hearing what we’re all doing musically. As much as I enjoy deals, my vision for this community is to be about all aspects of making music, and sharing our music, and encouraging one another in our musical endeavors, I believe, is an important part of it. When I hear music done at a very high quality level, like yours, I think it can serve to inspire others. Letting them know that a lot of talent exists within our community.

I apologize for my delayed response. It took me quite a while to find the Discord thread that discusses this. The only Soundcloud alternatives given to me are:
Dropbox (paid version): $10/month
Reelcrafter: $10/month
Disco.ac: $15/month
Yes, they aren’t free. The only response I have is “if you’re not paying for the product then YOU are the product.” That’s why I weened myself away from Google.
