Brian started the topic Cableguys MIDIshaper update and sale continues? in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
Cableguys released version 1.6 of MIDI Shaper. I believe it is the last of their utilities that was VST2 only (now its also VST3)- been a few years since it was last updated. Their site says the BF sale ends Dec 8 but the sale prices are still posted.
Brian replied to the topic Mario Nieto Chord Generator is out for $29 in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
Of course I went ahead and bought it. Rationalization that Mario really worked hard on Harmony Bloom long after release to include my and many others’ suggestions from the KVR/Discord channels. I am getting along better with it than I did Chord Jam, but I think the UI is still clunky. Presets sound nice, but creating my own chord patterns is no…Read More

PMs sent. I don’t know how to post a discord server link, or I would. I use the platform because some support sites are there exclusively, but I never dug that far in. The channel is called “Mario Nieto World”.
Brian replied to the topic Mini Review of Musio, My Pick for Best BF Deal of 2024; $149 Sale Ends Dec 10 in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
I agree that Musio is a crazy great deal. I am not really put off by their bespoke sample player. It is clean and easy to use. Lord knows I have a boatload of FX I can apply, although it would be nice to have more baked in presets. I like the quick preview and download as needed. EastWest is taking the same approach- you can optionally inst…Read More

If you are on Mario’s Discord he posted a coupon there for a discount on Chord Generator.

Been waiting for this. It looks a lot like ChordJam, which Mario worked on for AudioModern. I didn’t care for that one, but I need to have a look at this because his Arp (Harmony Bloom) was excellent. I am not seeing a demo option, but he is offering a 30 day return policy.

Brian replied to the topic Audio Plugin Deals: Porphyra Hybrid Synth – $25 US (save $82) w Code LTD SERIALS in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
Well I paid $35 because I put this on the back burner and forgot there was a $10 code (Doh!). I swore off Kontakt synths a long time ago but the YT got my interest. I also have a MK3 Keyboard, so I was interested in trying a synth that made use of it. This does require Kontakt 8 BUT it works in the free player. Installs with Native Acc…Read More

Only a deal if you bought an expansion 5-pack during the last sale, but this guy always brings it to his demos. You will have euphoria.

I love AAS stuff. Excellent support too. In the past I bought Humble Bundles with AAS packs and support kindly allowed me to trade in my dupes for my choice of new packs. Last year I upgraded to the full bundle, and since the Christmas freebie came when I owned everything, they automatically just gave me the next pack released gratis. I did…Read More

Thanks for the invites! I apologize for my ignorance. I was expecting a PM in ESO. I do so little “social” interaction on that platform that I didn’t realize invites were part of the chat system. I have received them “live” before but was not aware that they were stored. Anyway 👌

@EusebioRZ covered the “Chapters” vs DLC. I don’t have all the DLC but I have the ones that are larger maps like Murkmire, Gold Coast, etc. When I was more “hooked” on ESO I took ESO+ for a year and after that used my banked currency Crowns? to buy the maps I wanted. Sometimes on sale. They actually gave a couple away for logging in X tim…Read More

@Peter I already bought “Big Musio” lifetime back when it was offered for a “limited time”. Ask me in ten years if it was a good investment. I can say though that it has kept me away from other symphonic stuff since I bought it. I did NOT get Studio One 7. I have 6, and was looking for a deal. The fact that they not only closed, but dele…Read More

I bought the last couple ESO expansions from CD Keys. After a sale starts, they usually catch up and have a lower price. YMMV I guess, but I did some research and they appear to be legit. My understanding is that they arbitrage currency/price differences for their stock. Just make sure what you buy is licensed for the country you want to log…Read More

Not a deal, but might save someone a hassle.
From Steinberg support forum:
From 9 AM UTC on December 17, 2024, the Steinberg Download Assistant up to version 1.36.3 can no longer connect to our servers. This is due to an unfortunately unavoidable security-related certificate update.
Please start the Steinberg Download Assistant before this time…

Only “music” hardware I got (really these are for doing housework, etc) was a pair of Anker.Soundcore Q45 noise cancelling bluetooth cans that seem to work pretty well. They have a nifty hearing test built into the app that lets you create an EQ profile very easily. $90 from Amazon
Imaginando FRMS/DRC and BAM with all the packs for about $20…Read More
