USA Washington State (grew up in South Dakota)2. What musical instrument(s) do you play and when did you start playing?
Guitar at age 12. I had an inspiring/encouraging music teacher in High School where I played guitar in jazz band and percussion in “band”. Also learned flute well enough to sit in that section…Read MoreBrian replied to the topic UJAM 🎟️ Newsletter Exclusive: Virtual Drummer Plug-ins for $19 🎟️ in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
UJAM VD are not loop based, they are individually sampled multis, played by MIDI phrases. I will say that their patches generally have very heavy handed processing built in, so you will want to dial that out, or at least tone it down in the settings. The over-processing, in my experience, is an issue across all their products. The raw samples…Read More

I actually just sold my ’66 Strat and ’69 LP Deluxe this Summer because they were stupid valuable and I would have to climb out of my grave if my kids sold them at an estate sale for a pittance.
I still have:
90’s Gibson Tennessean (favorite- sounds like a 335)
90’s Takamine Classical (favorite) and easiest to play with arthritis
70’s…Read More2 CommentsBrian replied to the topic Black Octopus Leviathan Bundle $39 in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals

I thought I posted this a few hours ago. Trying again.
Not a fantastic deal, as it goes on sale regularly, but many gigs of samples, loops, patches, and MIDI.Brian replied to the topic Free util to convert .cwp (CbB and earlier) to .song (Studio One) in the forum DAWs, Hosts & Audio Editors
I also am a multiple DAW user. I rationalize that trying to remember how they all work is good exercise for my aging brain. GAS sufferers are very good at rationalization. I switched to Cakewalk around Studio One V4, which apparently had a disagreement with my hardware at the time, making it run like a slug. About six months later I tried a…Read More

Couple of observations.
1) I was messing with my profile and I guess I figured out how to add info fields. I made a date field but I can’t seem to delete it.
2) The email notification settings have slide buttons but it is not clear to me which position relates to “email or no-email”
1 CommentThanks for the update. I caught a major problem with the messaging that I was able to resolve. But the site design will look a bit different as a result. It’s a plugin from a different developer than the one I’ve been working with, and I’ll be putting in a request to see if we can get it fixed. The plugin added a lot of functionality.

If I could play, I’d definitely want a Les Paul. My brother had a red one when I was a kid, and the first rock album I bought at 5 years old was Led Zeppelin III, which I still love. Jimmy Page cemented my love for the Les Paul. But I’m sure if I played guitar instead of drums that my back might not have agreed with the Les Paul choice.
