The exclusions are listed on the group buy page (there is an asterisk after the text in each of those subsections). I have asked our web team to figure out why the TONEX family page (as well as AmpliTube for the AmpliTube 5 non-upgrade version) isn’t filtering out the version of TONEX that is listed in the exclusions.
If you followed those links and bought a non-qualifying product from us and need anything swapped out for a similar qualifying product in the case where that was confusing, our support team can assist.
I hope that and any updates to the linked pages to make them less generic and more clear helps.
I represent IK Multimedia so I will post official things. I also may just post random things as a real human being because I also represent one of those. I will try to be clear when I'm just speaking as Peter, instead of "Peter from IK".
I make no promises to be 100% accurate in doing so, though. 🙂

@peter-ik Could you provide clarification on MrFigg’s question on whether the Tonex product on sale at Plugin Boutique linked below, on sale for $29.99 US qualifies for the group buy? His thought was that IK’s $99.99 minimum refers to list price (in this case $199.99) and not the sale price ($29.99).

We’ve established that it doesn’t. Non-upgrade versions do no qualify. The issue here was mainly that it wasn’t clear that this was the case. Peter is looking into it. As he said above:
” I have asked our web team to figure out why the TONEX family page (as well as AmpliTube for the AmpliTube 5 non-upgrade version) isn’t filtering out the version of TONEX that is listed in the exclusions.”
All I can add to this is, in all my years of dwadling in the music software world as a consumer, I have never come across the concept of “a non-upgradable version because you got it on sale and you didn’t pay full price for it.”
It seems these are all sort of related to Plugin Boutique — so why doesn’t IKM just go ahead and put on their page, plugin boutique purchases and serials don’t count towards this group buy? Make it plain and simple for everyone.

https://linktr.ee/patrickwichrowskiI noticed that Amplitube SE is listed in FREE bonus List as a $/€149.99 item. But when searching in the store, it is $99.99. Confusing.

@peter-ik Amplitube SE is available for the bonus? I’m asking this because i got MODO BASS SE that has the same text of $149,00 but priced at $99,99 at the store. But Amplitube SE is not showing to select here.

Hi @peter-ik
any luck with my other post asking about offering rest of Mojo to older ST4 users who already have some of Mojo in their account? It just doesn’t make sense that The Grid for SampleTank 3 is still being offered but Mojo has been taken down forever.
I am in this Group Buy, and am out of things to pick. So I am now looking at picking pianos that are 22gb+ in size each which I will never ever use. It would be great if I was able to get stuff I don’t have that I know I will use. I just don’t get it. What happened? Does Eric N. own the rights to Mojo and you got into a fight with him?

Can anyone explain this to me as I don’t quite understand.
”TONEX
The Group Buy is a great time to start or grow your TONEX Tone Model library. Choose TONEX SE and instantly get 2 Signature Collections free, with more likely to follow. If you already own a version of TONEX, go directly to the collections you want, including the new Brown Sound collections.”

I guess it means if you buy SE,
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tonex/?pkey=tonex-sw-se
you will be able to pick 2 of the collections IKM make.
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/?S1=457&S2=545
though I don’t see it on their site.
FWIW, i picked up all the remaining TX collections I dont have in this group buy.

Still no Amplitube SE in my list of choices. Other thing strange in my account was that i redeemed Prism Reverb, but it did not show in my products. But I received the serial via e-mail and could authorize.

Same here with Prism. I contacted them and they said they’d fix it. Still not showing.
I added Prism too, also a no show in the account section, yet does in the IK manager processors (under T-Racks 6). Other thing is everything added doesn’t show in Custom Shop as owned, just a cart icon with text to get for x number of credits, upper portion of profile page says 0 products owned, the bottom tabbed areas (Amplitube, T-Racks, ect) show the right number of products* but many don’t have the owned checkmark (* the newer T-Racks products fail to appear at all, yet are owned). Custom Shop must be obsolete?
Anybody worked how to get the free Tonex collections yet? I don’t think it means the Group Buy as it states “two collections”.

I’ve tried with the Product Manager and also within the app itself. I even asked AI how to do it but…well you know.
I think this was intended to mean, at the time of writing , if you buy Tonex SE to get into the group buy you would immedeiately get two signature collections for free, with more signature collections to follow as the group buy ramps up. I think the second statement was meant to say that if you already own Tonex, you can buy a signature collection to get into the group buy and get two more for free with more to follow.
It was pretty badly worded and confusing as heck.
This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.

its pretty straight forward. you buy something that is at least $49 or more, and you get 11 items of equal or less value for free. this business of the free signature packs that you get if you buy ToneX SE is something that was added in this thread. All it really means is, of the 11 free items that you do get, you don’t need to select those free signature packs that you chose for free. From what I can see, if you get ToneX SE, its listed as $99 values, so you can pick 11 other items that are $99 or less.

Umm, no. The business of the free signature packs that you get if you buy ToneX SE is part of the Group Buy announcement.
Scroll down to the Tonex section and you will see the exact wording above.
As far as I can tell, Tonex SE itself does not contain any of the TONEX Signature Collections.
This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.

no. what i meant was, i dont know how the claiming of those free packs works. i have seen it discussed nowhere else. so far all the items i got i so far i just click in the promotions lick it shows up as a drop down item. so i am guessing thats also where you go to claim your free signature packs for SE if you buy SE.

Where I think the confusion lies is MrFigg thought that if you already owned Tonex before the group buy, you could still get two free Tonex collections. He couldn’t figure out how to get those two free packs. But the fact is that you have to buy a qualifying item to get into the group buy and get the free items. There are no free packs outside of the group buy.
This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.
i dont want to be negative, but the rules for this group buy, the questions raised, and the plugins at pluginboutique that don’t qualify are confusing af. as i understand it, ik plugins at pluginboutique like tonex or amplitube 5 apparently don’t qualify for the group buy and can’t even be updated to future versions. honestly, the group buy looks like a great deal, but i’m hesitant to buy anything because ik might tell me that it doesn’t qualify.
I’m in the same boat, owning Total Studio Max 5.
But the TONEX collections does not interest me (as I capture my favorite presets from Amplitube and other amp sims into TONEX, then my TONEX pedal), so what would I then get instead?
Any suggestions anyone?
All the best.
Present past for the future
I’m crushed – I just bought the Tonex Bass Collection and then I see this in the YouTube comments for it:

Sorry, that is not possible at this time. New products released after Group Buys begin are not added.
————-
I could have so easily have bought one of the Brown collections and gotten the Bass collection later as one of the free titles.
I thought I was an experienced IK buyer. What threw me off is that if you click on the “See qualifying TONEX Signature Collections” link you come to a page that shows the Bass Collection
