Path length could definitely be a thing. Not sure if it’d help, but you might want to try unzipping with 7Zip.

Thanks for the info Kirk. And for providing support even after the doors close.

Diamond is a general purpose orchestra with very detailed options and extendable with the concert brass and string series which offer great techniques and things like very flexible vibrato and styles. Is Diamond worth a look if someone already has a few orchestral libraries? This page lists what’s in Musio 1. Iceland; South Africa; and Ireland previously had the ‘soon’ badge, and Scotland still does at time of posting. I suspect their next library will eventually be in Musio 2.

Venture beyond traditional string samples! String Contours is a new trajectory in “contextual sampling”. Both in tempo and expression. Elevate the sound of your tracks seamlessly and stop tweaking CC data – let the performances carry the programming, and focus on the music its…Read More

I suppose we’ll have to wait and see. If bug fixes aren’t included, I guess it’s a compelling reason for the buyer to renew; I’m not sure it’s a ‘good’ or ‘right’ one though.
antler replied to the topic Studio One 7 – Start Your Engines – OCTOBER 9 in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
I understand the ‘buy now, get 1 year of updates’ thing. What I don’t get (but may have missed) is whether you get bug fixes after the 1 year cut-off.
Let’s say I buy 1 year of updates. Midway through the final month, I get this new feature, but it’s got a few bugs in it. Let’s say they’re fixed 1 month after; do I get these free, or do I have to…Read More

Hi Peter. In the forums, what does the number below our profile name mean? At first I thought it was the total number of likes from posts or something like that. But I’ve seen some posts with a few likes, and the number under the profile name doesn’t seem to reflect it.

Looks like they are adopting the Bitwig model. $149 per year of upgrades and perpetual thereafter.Hmm. I upgraded two years ago from 5 to 6 and it was $118 for me. That gave me two years of updates. Now it is $149/year? This is an improvement?

I’d also add portability/transferability. Many built-in DAW plugins are tied to that DAW. If you ever want to use another one, you’d have to learn that DAW’s plugins, which may or may not have the same functionality/workflow.
Another reason might be if you’re looking for a particular type of sound. Theoretically, it might be possible to replicate…Read More

Some quick minor feedback. The ‘Edit’ and ‘Share’ buttons appears to be vertically misaligned – I’d post a screenshot, but I either can’t or don’t know how to. After clicking ‘Edit’, the ‘Cancel’ and ‘Save’ buttons that replace it are also vertically misaligned. I’m using Edge on Desktop.
3 CommentsYep. It’s the same on Chrome on Windows and Android and I knew this after I install it, it’s just that I couldn’t find an alternative plugin, so I accepted it. Unlike the forum app, there are a lot more developers making plugins for this. If I had several thousand dollars to invest in the site there is a good alternative. But I can’t afford t…Read More
No problem – I understand; just giving feedback like you asked 😊
I didn’t realise they were all separate plugins, but knowing this I understand why they might look a bit different.
Please know that when I’m explaining, I absolutely don’t want to discourage you or anyone from reporting things, I want you to. I just am sharing the realities of this site with you so that your expectations for what I can get fixed are realistic. The number under a member’s username in the forum represents how many forum topics that user has created. It’s no surprise that @cclarry blows away everyone else. Last I noticed, Larry’s number was, I think, over 230 and mine is not even 10 percent of that. I think mine is currently at around 17 and I built this site. I just haven’t had time to do…Read More
