What was responsible for you deciding to learn a musical instrument? Did your parent/guardian enroll you in music lessons or did you decide on your own?
How old were you? And, if you chose to learn on your own, what inspired you to want to learn?

13 years old. Christmas 1970 I received a $30 Tiesco electric guitar that I asked for. I took lessons for about three months and just kept playing. Started giving lessons myself a few years later. Memorable year because that Christmas morning Jupiter, Venus and Mars were all near each other (in conjunction) in the pre-dawn sky. My Dad’s love of Music AND astronomy stayed with me.
