I’m watching a baseball game with my wife and the organist plays a little bit of the Donna Summer song, “Hot Stuff.” I remark, “That was a really corny rendition of the song.” My wife replies, “Organ doesn’t sound cool,” to which I reply, “How dare you! [mock outrage] You do know that I took years of organ lessons, right? What about Jon Lord, Jimmy Smith, Booker T and the MGs? What about ‘Green Onions’ — you know that song. That’s super cool!!! How dare you!!!”
