Here is their page of freebies. The Gear Space clipper (GSat) is excellent too. It’s a little “fiddly” if you just want to clip and move on, but it has some great options too.

I completely agree that the quality of free plugins has greatly improved over the last 10 years. The standard for a high-quality free effect plugin is substantially higher than it once was. As this list proves, if a producer has no budget, they can still find good to excellent quality free plugins of every kind. Just like sample libraries, the big challenge is sifting through everything to find the best that’s out there, which is why we have these curated lists.
