I have given them the feedback that there are users who really appreciate when they offer a less detailed version of their ultra deep sampling versions. I know, I’m at that point and would prefer the standard sample sizes for synth libraries. I have a developer friend who is super impressed with SoundPaint’s CS80 that has me contemplating picking it up — but I have 3 SSDs that are all pretty full and an additional SSD I need to install that has 2 TB that I’m concerned will be filled very fast if I keep up with sample / plugin. But the CS80 is the SoundPaint synth library I most want at this point.
I’m going to have a call with Tawnia, 8Dio’s CEO, soon and will ask her about the possibility of smaller size, non-UDS versions of these libraries. I realize that pros may always want the ultra-deep-sampled versions, but for a hobbyist like me, I’m really satisfied with their standard versions (which I have used when available).
