The ATR-102 is $26.10, which is an incredible deal, IMO. I think it’s great to see Ocean Way down to $44.10, but of course, any time this stuff becomes more accessible, it’s great to see. I own and love Ocean Way. It has, in my experience, lived up to everything people have said about it. It is easily one of my favorite effects plugins, and I’d go as far as saying that, for anyone who produces rock music, it’s a must have. The above link page also features the UAD Mixtape 10 plugin bundle, which is $89.10, and that includes Ocean Way and several other top tier UAD plugins for what comes out to be only $8.91 per plugin, which I never thought I’d see for Ocean Way, Capitol Chambers, Histville Reverb Chambers, and several other premium plugins that they included in the bundle this year. They’ve never put their top-tier plugins in their cheap bundles before this pack, which they first released in last month, and the first time that it ever went below $99 anywhere was this month.

There are certain tones from my childhood — as the son of a music teacher who started piano lessons at 3 years old and started playing drums a shot time later (for the first several years as a drummer I was self-taught, I don’t think I started private drum lessons until I was around 9 or 10). But we had a baby grand piano, an organ (unfortunately, not a B3) with a Leslie speaker, and an awesome Wurly 200. My first drum kit was a Camco that I foolishly sold for peanuts. My brother played a Les Paul in our family band, but I think he later picked up an Epiphone jazz guitar. Consequently, there’s a certain appeal and nostalgia those instruments and sounds have for me. Along with the glockenspiel, which I believe we also had, and I once played in the school band when the regular player for it was out.

While I own Waterfall, I actually have yet to use it, as I have IK’s Leslie plugin. But I need to give it a spin (pun unintended).
