Somewhat off topic but want to mention that I think Sampletron 2 knocks it out of the park for Melltrons – especially considering I practically got it for free in one of the deals here.

First, if you think that off track is a problem here — oh boy, are you in for a surprise! One of the things I greatly enjoy so much about our group is our ability to go on fun tangents. I think that’s part of our character (that we’re a bunch of characters).

Second, there really aren’t many occasions where I don’t enjoy discussing Trons. I am in love with them. And I used to discuss Trons with Dave Kerzner pre-dating him making Sampletron. Back then, Dave was kind of like Tron Yoda for me, directing me towards the Trons / Chamberlins where I would find sounds I would most love. I am contemplating doing interviews, I suppose a podcast for LinkedMusicians and it would be cool to interview Dave and talk Trons as well as how successful he has been leading an indie band in an age where that’s pretty challenging.

So yeah, I took your tangent and raised it! I greatly enjoy when we mention related things, that largely reflect our love of making music and our love of sounds. I think it reflects the character of our community and I wouldn’t enjoy things as much if we didn’t do it. Our moderators DO NOT tell people to stay on track if they’re on friendly tangents. I’m pretty sure that they enjoy them too. Besides, if tangents were against the rules, I’d be the first person who’d get a lifetime ban! Hahaha. You know that I’m not kidding!
