I’m demoing Virtual Pianist Relic and I love the tone of the piano library.

There’s a lot of presets. The one thing that is super annoying is that I have no interest in their MIDI parts, I want to play everything myself, and it’s too easy to go through presets and find that stuff automatically playing (I’m guessing that bumped into a keyswitch that triggers it without realizing it; but it’s not readily apparent from the GUI and that’s really annoying when you just want to play an instrument).

If this deal were just these two pianos for $43 (Best Service’s price for the Select 5 deal) instead of 4 pianos plus one other instrument, it would be a no-brainer for a piano instrument this good with so many inspiring presets. The fact that it comes down to around 9 bucks for this piano is insane. I’d urge anyone even slightly interested to do a demo before this deal is over. I won’t bother with another demo given how much I love the sound of Relic. The reality is, this kind of pricing does make it difficult for sample developers to price their piano libraries at $125 or more when you can so easily pick up a fantastic piano sample library like Virtual Pianist or IK’s Pianoverse for what comes out to be $9 to $30 per piano library. It puts the premium libraries into a category that hits a much smaller target market — pros and bigger budget amateurs. While that makes things more challenging for sample developers, I think it’s fantastic for music producers.

He recently made a post with a chart with an anti-semitic conspiracy featuring Jews in the US federal government and a star of David next to each Jewish-American’s photo and name.  No, that’s very, very far from great, good or even decent. I deeply regret ever allowing that individual to be part of this community when I was aware of some of that, but since he was part of this community, a number of members had PMed me to make me aware of how Larry prolifically makes hate posts in social media against various racial, ethnic, religious, and other groups. I realize that you are almost certainly unaware of this individual’s activities, but he tried to bring just a little of his worldview to this community. His views are the antithesis of the values of this community and my own personal values.

Okay, the best deal we’ve found on this, thanks to @fleer. Less than $7.40 US per plugin is crazy. I immediately bought after seeing that My take is that I find most UJAM plugins to be a bit toy-ish compared to libraries from the better Kontakt developers when it comes to guitars, bass, and drums (SD3 or even AD2 are far superior, iMO). But these 4 pianos for $36.96 plus another plugin, is an amazing deal (it was for $43 too, but under $40 is fantastic).

Indeed, that price is just nuts. I would at least get the four pianos, then Cinedream guitar, Deep and Legend drummers, Dandy and Mellow bass, the UFX and the following Finishers: Dynamo, Fluxx, Neo, Retro, and maybe Voodoo if you’re a guitarist.
