Wow, I knew of this developer, and love everything I’ve heard from their demos. The demos for this library sound incredible to my ears. I love that sound — the beautiful tone of the drums, the analog sound of the recordings (samples). It’s pure magic — and nostalgia for that 50s-60s era of jazz that the developer has captured so well. I’m a huge jazz fan — with Miles Davis and John Coltrane being my two favorite jazz artists of all time, and it’s clear that was the sound the developer was aiming for and they nailed it.
@pseudopop, do you — or anyone else here — own any Authentic Soundware libraries, and if so, can you share your thoughts on them (quality of the libraries, playability, presets, etc.).

I bought their Jazz Drums Complete Bundle (which includes the Classic Jazz Drums Kontakt instrument and the Classic Jazz Drums wav loops) three years ago, and I wasn’t very impressed by it.
I gave the Kontakt instrument another go just now and I still couldn’t gel with it. It has that certain lo-fi sound that might suit some productions, but so far I haven’t found any use for it. It does have quite a lot of articulations, such as snare drags and snare rolls,
The Kontakt instrument has only about 116 MB of samples. The rest of the bundle (about 1.4 GB) is loops and one shots, but those weren’t for me, either.
Then again, I believe this was their first instrument, so the newer libraries are probably better.
In a bout of procrastination, I made a very short demo track and uploaded it to YouTube, since I couldn’t get SoundCloud to work:
@pseudopop Thanks for giving your honest insights with the library. I think I may have bought that first jazz drum kit for cheap when the developer just launched and then forgotten about it. I’d love to hear from anyone who picks this up. One things is certain, they have fantastic audio demos.
