This (and “Won’t Get Fooled Again”) were the songs that I heard at a kids party with my youngest sister when I was 7 that made me decide that I wanted to be a rock drummer. I never played the song with a band, so I thought I’d do a quick jam version cover of it. It’s around 2 minutes, so it’s not the entire song. I just wanted to see what I could do with it.

Wow, thanks @nitrateaudio. Like the rest of my covers, as you can probably guess, I through them together pretty quickly, and it’s just a little one man jam session. If you too are a Warren Zevon fan, you need to check out @bapu’s cover of “Werewolves of London” that he recently shared. Then he (and a group of other musicians he plays with) did a knocked it out of the park cover of The Beatles’ “Baby’s in Black” that he also just put up. And I think he sounds more Warren Zeon like on that track than the actual Warren Zevon track he covered. It’s really a great cover, way far beyond anything I’ve ever done since I’ve started playing again. You — and anyone reading this — should check it out. It’s sooo good.

I will check it out and Babus. I am indeed a big Zevon fan. I still think his first album is a master piece. Probably one of the greatest songs and lyrics ever written.

If we’re going down a Warren Zevon, I’m on board!!! Back in the day, the song that they played on Chicago radio (WXRT) A LOT of his was “Werewolves of London,” but the song that made me go out and buy my first Warren Zevon ablum and become a fan was, “Lawyers, Guns, and Money.”
