Thanks for the clarification. Of course, I enjoy and appreciate the helpful Peter. But you know how I’m wired, I also want the hilarious — not on the clock Peter. Hmm…maybe you need two accounts? How about Peter-IK and Not-Peter-IK?

Also, I realize that every time I say you’re funny, it’s like saying, “Here’s my friend Peter. He’s hilarious. He’ll crack you up! Now say something completely hilarious, Peter!!! Show everybody!” No pressure at all. Although, I can’t deny,  I do kind of enjoy putting you on the spot to be funny.  I admit, I’ve had friends do that to me, and my usual response is to say something really dark — as unfunny as possible. But that’s my thing. I haven’t really revealed that side of me in the forum. But it’s probably coming!

I’m trying my best to limit my purchases, but yeah, Total Studio 4 MAX is already a great deal, but if it included Pianoverse MAX at the same price, I would agree that it would be a total no brainer for me too. The current deal is very compelling and pretty close to a no-brainer, but I’ve been craving the Pianoverse titles since it came out. I’ve just resisted because I already have a bunch of nice pianos and I’m limiting my budget. But with the Pianoverse titles, the B3, the Sampletron (I own the first, not the second), and the various effects (I own a bunch of IK effects but not all of it; for example, not the ARC 3.5 or Lurssen mastering console).

I don’t think Total Studio Max is a part of the BOGO deal, but you can pick it up for about $90 at IK with Jam Points.  Heads up though, Total Studio Max 4 does have the latest versions of plugins like Arc 4 or T-Racks6 – if that matters to you.

Okay, I realize this is off topic, but because you mentioned at the bottom of your post that you couldn’t get into your messages, I thought, instead of sending you an email I’ll solve it here. I put this in a FAQs, because it’s happened several times to people in the last several months. What happens is that at some point either you declined the permissions for the site or you have a cookie blocker on your browser that blocked the cookies. The result is, without accepting the permissions, the related functions won’t work. I realize that not every online community does this, but legally, the EU requires sites to do this. I always follow laws and best practices.

So here’s the solution. Log out of the site. Clear your cache. Log back in and accept the permissions. Everything will work properly. Now, I realize that A LOT of the music forums don’t comply with these laws, but I wanted this site to get everything right. The downside is that it can sometimes result in issues like this when folks decline permissions or have cookie blockers.

Hi Peter, I logged out (on my other pc), cleared my cache, and couldn’t log back in.  I tried the password reset, twice, but never received an email to reset it. (?)

The emails are being sent — I’m using a good email service provider now and I have a log of every email the system sends (it indicates that a password reset email was sent to you at 2025-03-20 20:33:38). The emails, no doubt, are being filtered by your email SPAM / junk mail filters, so check that folder for them (if you have a ton of junk emails, search on (“linkedmusicians”). Once you find the emails, white list the email address so that future emails will make it to your inbox. If you have issues after that, or if somehow you can’t find the emails, DM me or email me and we’ll get you sorted.

Let’s resolve this via email. But to update anyone watching, I reset mibby’s password and he received the email the system automatically generated — nothing was changed, but somehow that email didn’t go into his junk folder, or whatever was the issue before. So he’s definitely receiving emails.

I’m fairly confident that the 404 errors trying to access his messages on this site was either because at some point of declining the cookies / permission or having a browser plugin that blocks cookies automatically. So everyone knows, I’m following the GDPR for those practices. I realize that not every music related forum follows the laws, I do. Consequently, if someone refuses the permissions, they won’t be able to access personalized parts of the site like the messaging system or posts, and that’s clearly what Mibby is describing, so I feel that is certainly the issue. It’s the problem most people who’ve reported issues report. 100 percent of the time, when people log out, clear their cache, and log back in, accepting all permissions, they know longer have 404 errors on personalized sections of the site (anyone can read most sections of the site; it requires accepting permissions for personalized sections and password protected portions of the site).
