Hi Steve! Welcome @dawjunkie to LinkedMusicians! Many of us have been taking advantage of your freebies.

Personally, I’ve only recently become aware of DAWJunkie in the last several months. I’d love to learn more about you, DAWJunkie, and your inspiration for what you do and how you see DAWJunkit fitting in the plugin instrument world.

Our community loves shining the spotlight on indie developers and learning more about them.

When I was checking out your site I saw that you have Craze Pro for $1. FTR, I think your approach of creating free versions and more advanced pro versions that are really inexpensive, a smart idea. It’s a no-risk way for people to see if a plugin is a fit for them.

Just one thing I small wish / suggestion: me and many of our other deal posters like to embed videos from developers into our posts so that our community can very quickly check out plugins and sample libraries. I couldn’t find an easy way to do the videos on your website. If there is a simple way that they can easily be embedded (and there may be — I am a business guy, not a developer or coder!), please feel free to edit your original post and include a video.

Peter, thanks for the welcome!

It makes sense you only heard of DAWjunkie in the past few months, because that’s really when I started putting the pedal to the metal and cranking out plugins. Currently the company is only me. I’m based out of Clearwater Florida.

My inspiration is that I’m a synth lover. There’s something about a well laid out synth, with lots of knobs that gets me going. My goal with DAWJunkie is to create great sounding plugins, that are inviting and user firendly. I want people to turn the knobs with no fear, and hear what happens.

Most of my best plugins are made with happy accidents. That’s how I want people to make music as well!

Great point on the videos being sharable. I just added a SHARE button to all the videos on the site, and all future vids will have them as well.  Thanks for that and feel free to share to your heart’s content!
