Hottest day of the year so far in the UK I believe – though only around 13 – 15 degrees C in York. Shame I spent most of it cleaning as we have friends coming at the weekend! Managed a walk round the York City Walls though which is always a treat!

It ended up being above freezing later in the day — making it to the balmy mid-40s Fahrenheit (don’t blame me that we use archaic systems the rest of the world has abandoned! When I was a kid, the US briefly decided to switch over to the metric system, then suddenly abandoned it).

We used both when I was at school but seem to have settled on centigrade thankfully!
