I’ve included this here as there appears to be a discount code usable over the next couple of days.
Christian from Crow Hill appears to be having an ‘interval’ to enable further product & site development. Will be interesting to to see what they come up with. I’m hoping for a more sophisticated version of Vaults!

Edit – just tried it on Guitar Hive and it offered a 25% discount – not enough for me to bite!
For me either
Anyway, the code for the current users is endofseasononetchc2512

A pretty convoluted way to do a sale. It would be interesting to compare their conversion rates doing this tactic vs. a straightforward sale. My guess is that this tactic won’t be as successful.

I think they have said in the past that they wouldnt do sales on their products, so maybe that is why they need to get an excuse to do so.
i think that its hard to compete in this market if you dont do sales nowadays, unless you have your plugins pretty fairly priced like valhalla dsp
Crow Hill has done numerous sales promotions since Henson launched the business. I’m certainly not knocking a company doing sales promotions, this forum is all about deals and I’m as big a sucker for deals as any of us! I just think that I think that this sale particular sales promotion tactic, using confusing messaging about pulling products temporarily and changing their product line, is confusing, and not very likely to be effective. It’s wrapped in language that makes it appear that this is something other than a sales promotion, which does seem less than honest, which is going to turn off a good deal of customers and then it doesn’t even tell you that it’s really just a 25% off sale. Just not a great sales promotion idea, that’s all. I would put it clearly in the realm of failed sales promotion ideas.

I have a lot of time for Crow Hill but I agree that there would have been easier and more transparent ways to have a sale – unless I missed it there was no way of seeing what the discount was until you posted the code and they even made that difficult by not providing it in a format you could copy and paste (well I couldn’t!)
I suspect they are just a bit overwhelmed at the moment and need to focus on product and site development. Hoping something good comes out of it but it seems a strange approach – mind you their ‘archiving’ of old Vaults instruments is a bit perverse too!
