Same here. I wasn’t really into his music, but he seemed to be a person of great character. He stood up for Sinead O’Connor at a time where doing so wasn’t very popular (for anyone offeded by her stands, I’d ask you to look into her story and the horrific abuse she suffered at a children’s home that has since been acknowledged to have been a place of horrors, including widespread child abuse, molestations and murders). In the end, I respected him for his character and humanity — how he stood up for others.
