Rapid Composer v5.5.0 major update (April 1, 2025)

Improvements:
New track type: ‘Rhythm track’. Conversion between rhythm and MIDI tracks added to the track inspector menu
New rhythm generator: ‘Follow Track’ to use another track as the rhythm track
New variation: ‘Follow Track Rhythm’ to map the rhythm of another track to the current track
Very precise, monophonic audio-to-MIDI conversion implemented with continuous pitch-bend and expression events
Preview implemented for audio to MIDI conversion (both visual and sound)
Additional AI service providers added: OpenRouter, Llama, LM Studio. It is possible to use locally installed models (LM Studio) and several free models on OpenRouter
Optimized audio waveform rendering which became many times faster for long audio files
Pitch bend sensitivity setting added for soundfonts and ‘MIDI’ instruments in the track inspector
56 soundfont channels can be used
‘Minimum’ and ‘maximum’ sliders added to CC lanes to allow quick adjustments of all CC values
Bigger font is used for displaying the timecode and bar position when both are displayed
Improved MIDI file import allows multiple note ons (overlapped notes)
‘Samples’ can be displayed as the secondary time format
When using “Export as individual WAV/AIFF…” the track index is added to the filename, just in case more tracks have the same name.

Fixed: “Export as individual WAV/AIFF…” did not handle solo tracks well
It is possible to regenerate the shape only or the rhythm only for the selected phrase generators (with keyboard shortcut)
Filtering by key is possible for keyboard shortcuts
New menu item: Save as default for ‘New Composition’
Keyboard shortcut added to show/hide the composite track (Shift-C), and for the Idea Tool ‘lightning’ button
Fixed: audio tracks are not shown in the composite track
