Guess I WON’T be trying this for a while 😛

Not a deal, I guess, but $49 may not be bad for stem separation with MIDI generation / conversion integrated.  I have not tried Wingman  yet, but Mixed in Key (the dev) has made some tools I like.

It’s down to $49 from $99, probably because it’s in beta, so I’d say it’s a deal. Also, “Windows version coming soon”.

(I’m considering getting a Mac Mini, either soon if there is a good Black Friday deal, or later next year when the M5 versions come out. )

They have released the Windows version of Wingman.  30 day refund available, which I may take advantage of.  I only spent a brief time with it, but I am disappointed that so far, it appears that you have to let it analyze a complete mix.  I thought it would be easier to drop in instrument stems and not depend on the AI to categorize it correctly.  I’ll give it some more trial, but I don’t think this will be helpful for ME.  Unfortunately it looks like Mixed in Key have abandoned their Discord channel, so I don’t know if there is currently a forum where users hang out.  Nor is there any kind of manual or in app “Help” for Wingman.  I suspect they really rushed release for the calendar’s sake.
