Rapid Composer 6.0 Released (Not a Deal)

We’re happy to announce the release of RapidComposer v6.0, a major update packed with creative tools and workflow improvements.

Highlights of version 6 include:

• Neural Phrase Engine – generate phrases and multi-track compositions using local AI models trained on MIDI data (Full Edition only)
• New ‘LIVE’ Mode – trigger and perform song sections from your MIDI keyboard in real time, with per-track speed, transpose, and timing controls (Full Edition only)
• Two Master Tracks (A and B) – easily experiment with different chord progressions and copy between them
• Redesigned Note Editor – faster, more intuitive editing
• SFZ instrument support, plus many UI and usability enhancements throughout.

Will be interested to see how well the AI stuff works. I will probably upgrade but might wait to see if the upgrade price is reduced in the annual sale they have nearer Christmas.

Good plan to wait for a sale.  I am sure they will run one before long.  I will probably get the upgrade, even though this software is DEEP (like the Marianas Trench).  I don’t have the dedication to really buy-in to the learning curve, but maybe the AI assist will help out.  I will say that the dev is VERY responsive to feedback on their KVR blog.  He implements everything that folks ask for if it is within a reasonable workload.

Yes, he does seem very responsive and you are so right about how deep this software is!

I noticed that they have been putting out quite a few videos of late which is much appreciated, but the software could definitely benefit from some AI assistance if implemented correctly.
