NOTE: This deal just flew into my email inbox, it’s for owners of Sigmund (1) and it’s tempting the heck out of me. I’d love to get the thoughts of anyone who owns it, has demoed it, or contemplated buying it. It seems really good. Here’s the review (I checked it out for my own interests and thought I’d share it):

Sigmund 2 High Quality Flexible Delay Unit
Over 400 Presets
Sigmund is far from just another delay. It provides an incredible degree of soundshaping freedom.
The plug-in consists of four discrete delay units, each with an independent set of parameters that offer you the freedom to shape your sound. There’s an ancient saying, often attributed to Aristotle: The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. With Sigmund, this is especially true as each of the delay lines has complementary modules such as filter and overdrive built in, working independently from the feedback loop. The delay lines themselves can also be combined together in several ways. Sigmund’s user interface has been designed from the ground up to be as intuitive as possible. Everything is presented as if on a silver (or brushed aluminum) platter, cleanly and clearly laid out with instant access to each section and its parameters.

I originally got Sigmund as a Pluginboutique BOGO and found it to be great fun for getting weird delay effects. I tried a few times to roll my own presets and failed utterly.
It’s just sooooo big and complex I can’t get a handle on how it works. And coming from one of the more notorious MeldaProduction fans in these parts, I guess that says a lot.😄
As I said, though, I got great results with it, I love throwing complex sync’d delay on sounds. I did have some crashing issues with it, but not enough that I avoided using it, I just made sure to keep my saves up to date when using it.
I liked it so much that when my upgrade offer came around, I snapped up Sigmund 2. They say it has new features, but since I don’t even understand the old features, I’ll just take their word for it.
I’d say that if you like what Sigmund does, $19 for Sigmund 2 is worth it. It’s below my yardstick “party-size pizza” cost threshold.
