I was just about to post that! Haha. You beat me again, @mustakatu. And this synth is caught my interest right now (which absolutely affects which deals I post; if I’m considering buying something, I always post the deal).

@thor Considering your love of modular synths, I’m wondering if you own this, and if you do, would you recommend it?
FTR, when I refer to my friends who know a lot more than me who I go to for advice on all things related to making music with a DAW, Thor is one of the people I turn to A LOT. He is a gaming music composer. He — like @GregJazz — have regularly recommended stuff that’s way over my budget (and talent level) like FabFilter stuff. Thor makes money off of music. I do it because even after tendinitis stopped me from performing, I can’t stop my desire to play and create music, even if no one is listening.

@Peter, I don’t own it, but people say it’s the best-sounding among all competitors in its niche, and the worst when it comes to usability

Hmmm…the usability part is what keeps me from using modular synths. I love the sound of them. I love the music that @thor and others make with them, but yeah, the truth is, I’m a preset user. When I crank out a song, I just do it the way I did as an 13 year old kid. I play the piano part, then the drum part, sing the vocals, etc. I like to just dial up sounds, hit record and start playing.
Thanks for sharing that insight. Thor loves the complexity of this gear (he owns a bunch of the physical gear too), not me! I’ll take the presets and just play.
