Soundpaint Duduk – gorgeous

Not specifically a deal but a wonderful sounding instrument. I was a bit disappointed with their previous 3 Duduks release but this is astonishing and is tempting me very much. The duduk is my very favourite instrument. $50 – haven’t checked the £ price yet

Now, the CEO of 8Dio / SoundPaint once described me to one of her employees as her “newest BFF,” so I could get into trouble for this, as their policy is that they don’t have sales. Even so, they do have upgrade and crossgrade discounts fairly often, so if you purchased the 3 Duduks, or even if you didn’t, you may find an offer in your email inbox from them at some point.

Now, if you bought the 3 Duduks and you’re not happy with it, there’s a very cool and rare thing that SoundPaint does that I don’t know of any other sample library or plugin developer doing. They offer full refunds if you’re not happy with a library. And I can tell that I was an 8Dio and SoundPaint customer long before I got to know Tawnia (8Dio’s CEO) and do paid consulting to the company, and I own a lot of 8Dio and SoundPaint libraries. I once bought a library that wasn’t what I was looking for, so I asked for a refund, and it was immediately granted with no questions. it was immediately processed after my request. I thought that was really cool. I’ve bought a bunch of other sample libraries from numerous developers over the years that I would love to be able to return, but, I can’t think of any other developer that offers refunds.

Thanks Peter – I should clarify I didn’t buy the 3 Duduks instrument just listened to the demo. It was ok but I think even Troels admitted that it capture the heart of the instrument whilst Duduk Virtuoso definitely does. I’ll hang off for a while and see if any deal appears in due course 🙂
