I recall visiting their site maybe a year ago, but nothing more. @GusGranite What are your favorite libraries of theirs that you recommend checking out?

Big fan of le gibet which i have. Use it for edgy productions with a retro synth vibe, their sounds really do well cutting through a dense mix. I’ve been eyeing tympo, but still pricey even at 50% off. I’ve set aside no BF dollars this year but that library might be the only thing out there where I’m feeling the pressure lol. The creator makes very insightful YouTube videos about each instrument, talks about its background, and runs through its presets if you’re undecided.

Thanks for the insights, I appreciate it. Hearing feedback from other community members who own this stuff is the most important insights for me when researching libraries and plugins. I’ll check out le gibet. I do appreciate videos where people run through presets even more than song demos — that’s usually the first thing I want to hear.

It’s the drum libraries for me. Lots of personality and vibe. Very nicely done. The keys and synth libraries are highly praised as well but not so much my specific sound I’m after.
Definitely agree. I have been wanting tympo but have been getting away with using Empire Breaks and sidechaining the cymbals to the kick drum for a very similar sound. That said the snares in Tympo are super fat and fuzzy, kicks have a long tail but can be shortened within the gui. the kicks in soul fi are short and more subby, with higher pitched more crisp snares than tympo. My vibe is more with tympo personally but to each their own. Can’t really go wrong with either. I don’t even make hip hop lo-fi, which is what this sounds like it’s tailored for but can see all kinds of other uses for it
