The Site is Now Back to Normal

I want to apologize for the forum issues that started yesterday and any posts that were lost or couldn’t be made due to the site issues. The issues have finally been resolved and the site is operating normally again. Talk amongst yourselves. I’ll give you a couple of topics, deals, music making…

In the restoration of the site from a backup, some issues occurred that I’m now working on (okay, it might take me this weekend):

1. The system emails (alerts, notifications) were broken. I am working on getting that restored.
2. I just learned minutes ago that roughly half of the images on the site were somehow lost. I have no idea how this happened and am having the tech team look into it.

I shared this concern in a sitewide notice, but some of the issues were due to what I suspected was an attempted attack on the site. The security team just completed an investigation and confirmed by suspicion. That’s what caused me to be very concerned when the forum started having issues. I suspected it was the result of what appeared to be a malicious attack on the site. It turned out, it was due to a bug in a WordPress update. However, there was an attempted attack on the site, but it wasn’t successful. In addition to a firewall and regular scanning of this site, I have a premium security package that gets regular server scans and a dedicated security tech to investigate issues. LM is Norton Safe Web approved and TrustedWeb (formerly McAfee) audited and verified safe and secure. Yes, my expertise is marketing and branding strategy, but I’m very vigilant about security. I can assure everyone that this site has never, at any point, had any malware on it.
