Only 113 euros. Still too steep for me.
Can’t wait to buy this from KnobCloud for a sane price!
Your post cracked me up, but I totally agree with you. Most developers are doing deep discounts and Toontrack has been raising their prices. IMO, no other developer can touch them when it comes to drum sample libraries and their player. But their policies and upgrade practices are very customer-unfriendly (referring to their not extending upgrade pricing for SD2 users) and I really wish they had some serious competition because their prices are far too high. The only time I buy Toontrack stuff is when they’ve done very deep discounts on weekend sales, and I haven’t seen one of those in a long time. So now, I’m more focused on exploring presets after my experience with the guy who goes by The Recreation Mix where I picked up, I think, it was 10 presets for something like $15.99 a week or so ago. I think the samples in SD3, effects, and mixing capabilities in the plugin are so good that a skilled engineer like that guy can make some great presets which saves a lot of money over purchasing new SDXs or EZXs and takes up very little disk space. In fact, my plan was to take the money I made from selling you two EZXs and buy more presets that I like with it.
The areas where he’s short is basic rock presets (he’s bigger into metal, pop, and old hard rock), folk rock and indie rock. I’ve made suggestions, but he didn’t give me a commitment when I suggested some drum presets I’d like (based on drum sounds used in songs), but it would be great if he started exploring those areas. I didn’t ask, but I’m guessing, based on the percentage of metal presets he has, that he sells more metal presets than anything.
