You remember I rebuild my studio?
I finished 1 week before Xmas.
Then… wifey happened…
Husband let’s redo the bedroom…
And I had to restart from scratch as the room changed 😂🤣😂🤣
But i don’t cry now I have not 2 but 3 and bigger desks…
And I’m nearly done!

If I don’t have contract work then rarely weekdays mostly on the weekends 2 to 3 hours a day, am a daddy of you kids still.

I went a bit overboard, but so far this is it. I’m planning on expanding it a little bit, but I dare to say this is 90% complete and an absolute dream of mine come true.

Very nice setup! I also can’t help but notice that a bunch of us are Rush fans. It seems to be one of our common threads. Plus — not me personally — but I think a lot of folks in the group are guitarists first and foremost.

I’ll see what I can do… My gear is very lop-sided, though, just based on the projects I’m working on. So while I have a lot of gear, I wouldn’t necessarily consider it well-rounded… 😛

I actually just sold my ’66 Strat and ’69 LP Deluxe this Summer because they were stupid valuable and I would have to climb out of my grave if my kids sold them at an estate sale for a pittance.

90’s Gibson Tennessean (favorite- sounds like a 335)

If I could play, I’d definitely want a Les Paul. My brother had a red one when I was a kid, and the first rock album I bought at 5 years old was Led Zeppelin III, which I still love. Jimmy Page cemented my love for the Les Paul. But I’m sure if I played guitar instead of drums that my back might not have agreed with the Les Paul choice.

LP was more fun to play. The Strat (at least mine) had real intonation problems that frustrated me. The LP was more playable (fretless wonder ™) BUT between the two you have the tone of that era covered pretty well.

I’m hoping that owning 11 basses, 4 guitars, a set of Yama Custom Oak drums (and I don’t even play drums) qualifies me to be a member of this wall.
Many of you may remember I also have 4 sets of physical tape emu’s and compressors for mixdown. Typically. I apply them to drums, bass, vocals and the master bus.

Topic of discussion sometime – Drop D tuner vs 5 string (or BEAD 4 string) . I have one 5 string, a Fender Squier Jaguar 5, which I got used to playing but prefer sticking with 4 strings and if I need a little more low end I drop the E string down to D.
