I did think about doing that. But then I thought it might be useful for A Sound Effect’s analytics – and it’s not like I get rewarded for it or anything. So I left it in, with a note that I’m happy to remove it if it violates any policies.

I appreciate the honesty/transparency and hope Musio succeeds. Prior to launching Musio, I had wondered if Cinesamples was financially in trouble as they had a few years of back-to-back sales on their Kontakt libraries.

The site’s performance is all good here.

As far as I’m aware, Maschine 2 doesn’t disappear. Much like e.g. previous versions of Kontakt, they stay in your library if you have them. If you have a mk2 device, you can continue to use Maschine 2. The device doesn’t suddenly become a doorstop; you just can’t use it with Maschine 3.

And of course, if that isn’t true, I’m happy to be corrected.

Possibly what they mean is Musio is discounted from 11 Nov, while the traditional Cinesamples Kontakt libraries are discounted from 25 Nov?

Do the updates from previous versions ever go on sale? If so, when typically are the sales periods?

So there’s really no kind of price benefit for being an owner of a previous version of Studio One Pro. That’s simply not what I expected. $149 for me to update as a Studio Pro One 3 owner or $99 for me to get the same thing regardless if I am a Studio One Pro owner.

7Zip’s supported Windows Explorer menu integration for a long time now – you just have to run it as admin for the first time to set it up… unless you mean the new Win 11 right-click menu. The workaround for that is to drag a .zip with the right mouse button (into a folder other than Downloads), and the classic menu pops up right away.
