Do you think it’ll actually be something different or more of the same deals we’ve had from old-VSTBuzz, APD and others for the past few years?
My guess is that it’s going to be the usual “reseller ecosystem”.
For me, “something different” would mean major discounts on “upper tier” plugins like an 80% off Serum or Omnisphere (which I highly doubt we’ll see that), or on the “lower tier” a new indie developer (which doesn’t sound too thrilling, the plugin market is already pretty saturated)

I wonder – is this effectively a completely new site simply using the VSTBuzz name? Or is the new owner continuing the business, meaning our previous accounts still exist and will contain historical purchases?
It seems pretty sketchy. I would generally advise against buying from businesses ran by people who keep their identities anonymous. Not exactly a good trait for an e-commerce business owner / operator.
Your friend who keeps the beat.
I just received an email from VSTBuzz so they definitely have the old user data. Now, what they do with it is of course a different question.
I’m pretty sure that the guy behind was the one that developers told me did some very shady things with email lists from another business. Once again, beware of any e-commerce store owners that hide their identity. It’s a red flag and I write that as a dot com owner myself.

It is actually already possible to login if you press the padlock icon on the right, the shop is still there, as is the user account with the orders that were made etc.
Thanks. I did visit the site, but it looked so bare I (incorrectly) assumed the lock was just trying to convey the site was safe, rather than a login button 😂

I wouldn’t know if that’s true, but I have bought from them a few times previously (under the previous ownership) and hadn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. I think I read the previous owner was the same guy behind Pulse Audio (i.e. the shop and library downloader)
