I think these are the folks (Ocean Swift Synthesis) that decided to stop marketing their VSTs a couple years ago and made them freeware? Not that is matters if you find this product worthwhile.

LOL- Got the demo last night. It IS pretty neat. If you have other Pitch Innovations stuff you should get a $39 price (they didn’t have that a week ago, it was still $49). Add the ubiquitous SANJ…Read More

@Brian, pull the trigger here, it’s only $8.99 or about:

Of course! I was so anxious to spend my money, I missed it. ADSR undercut me on “Harmony Bloom” too (months ago). They have a knack for snagging a low-ball. I will do as I did with “Harm…Read More

I’m gonna pull the trigger on this one because I looked it over when it was on sale last month and procrastinated out of the sale. This is kind of how I work anyway, sort of “subtractive composition” where I start with the busiest section and peal off or alter parts to progress into it. If nothing else, I think looking at the “presets” will be e…Read More

OK @Kirean. Well, I have to eat my hat, because I just got an email from Yurt Rock that I can go ahead and transfer it via Kontakt, zero fee. Way to go Gustavo at Yurt Rock Customer Support! Since we are still in “close family only” mode here at the LM ranch. If anyone wants Ambition for free Kontakt, PM me with your Kontakt registered ema…Read More

I bought Ambition for a similar deal last year ($49). The sounds and UI are really excellent. The thing is, since then I bought Luftrum’s Lunaris 2 which covers these sounds and then some (cost a lot more though). I’d love to give Ambition to you @Kirean. although it is easy to transfer NI branded player content, I can’t find anything about 3r…Read More

I bought Ultimate bundle a few years ago, and my price to bring it up to date adding Filter Table and Shaper Table (retail $39 each) was $29 plus tax. Pretty fair deal for loyal customers IMO.

Reveal has also added a free “AI Patch Generator” to Spire. It has a lot more options that the first version they released, but I haven’t played with it since then. I am curious if anyone finds it useful.

@Kirean‘s advice on a vertical mouse is excellent. I switched to one a couple years ago and can’t live without it. Amazon has a bunch of options, and I don’t think the brands really matter. My family comes in and can’t deal with my mouse at all. Good security device. The first one I got I didn’t like. It was too small in my hand. I really…Read More

I agree. I think effects can go a long way in setting the character of a sampled instrument, I I kind of doubt that Musio will ever come close to Kontakt in that department unless they license a lot of code (or dedicate a crazy amount of time re-inventing the wheels). Take the advice my dear Dad gave me when I was 13. Rest the wrist, boy!

Looks a lot like the Labor Day sale at a glance. Waveform Pro upgrade from 12 $49 or $99 New (or lapsed, apparently) user. I had to press the BUY button to see the prices on VSTs.

Musio presets- Ain’t none.
Long answer- They have “Racks” which let you store the settings of multiple sample-sets (or just one), but there is not much to tweak. It is a pretty bare-bones sample player with simple effects (not user add-able), and so far I have not seen any factory “racks”. A lot of instruments will have a bunch of ar…Read More

That sucks. Of course, I plan on buying their upgrade this month, but it would be nice if they had a forum, at least for support. That said, I do know of a forum with some really wonderful people….
