@bluescat, no worries. @peter has already reached out and I have offered to find some icons that might work. I had taken Peter’s comment that the site was feature complete to mean that green and gray exclaimation points were what was going to be used to identify read/unread messages. That was not his intent at all.

I agree that thre isn”t enough difference in the two icons. Maybe an exclamation point for unread and a checkmark when read. An other alternative is an exclamation point for unread and nothing when read.

I was told by two people that it didn’t work. I don’t recall hearing from anyone else, so I assumed that it had problems and moved on.

@blackjackschellac It make take several days, but the plugin allows me to upload my own graphic, so in the next several days I’ll replace it and I’m very interested in hearing or seeing screenshots of forums where you think the icons they use are highly intuitive.

Just spitballing here. It’s a very small element, so a U in reverse on a green circle for unread. When a topic of forum is read it remains a ball, but with a revetse R out of gray. But it could just as well be a checkmark because it’s so small

I’m pretty sure it.was either the thread for people to report fixes or a thread in the Earky Adopters Group. I realize that sometimes the issues are that folks don’t understand how to use something. I wish I remembered which one had the stripes so I could note it. I take it you like that better than the one we’re using now?

The stripes made it very easy to see what was read and unread. If the current system would do that, then I would be fine with it. As it stands now, I cannot tell the difference between read and unread so the current system is useless to me.

The current system is the first one where I’ve had positive feedback. But if MOST people agree they want a prior system — and because I’ve installed, I think, a total of 4 different systems, I can’t recall which one had the blue bars, but I’d replace this one if a bunch of members can agree to it. Thanks for the feedback. My take was that I enjoy seeing when new people join, but the notices were just way too big and I couldn’t find a way to reduce the size, so they’re gone now. Talented songwriters. I love a lot of different styles of music, and have loved The Eagles since I was s kid.

I saw him about two years ago and was fortunate enough to get his set list from the stage where he left it (I was in the front row) He came out after and signed albums/CDs he was selling and was very gracius. He was scheduled to tour this fall with Karla Bonoff.

Karla Bonoff, that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while.

I personnaly miss the old days of the Cakewalk forum. I truly enjoyed participating and helping tecnically when I could. I am sad not being part of the energy that made the Cakewakl experience for 5 years. Interacting with the devs was great. They are very competent and responded in the best way possible when bugs and new ideas were submitted.

I still like the CW forum, don’t get me wrong Banning you was stupid, but look what happened

I think they did it because pwalpwal was standing up for you guys, it happened like the day after they kicked you guys out. They didn’t ban him but they deleted thousands of his post. a stern warning I guess.
