One thing… previously i was able to see new post signaled as new posts, but that mark is now gone, dont know if its something with my profile or if there were some changes in that regard?

Are you referring to the Groups or Forums? If you lost functionality in the Groups, it’s because I just took away a major plugin used on the site that had problems since the last theme update
to allow the developer to troubleshoot.
