I should not have read your follow up post first haha, now I can’t unhear it! But enjoyed your cover Peter, it’s one of my favorite tracks from the Beatles. For a raw take you have already a solid foundation. The voice and the instrumental parts sounded a bit “disconnected” mix wise. They don’t sound for me like they are 100% in the same room/atmosphere. That is a thing that I noticed while listening the first time.

I will also give it some thoughts on what I could do. It is easy to mention it for example in a newsletter, but would be even better if it could be combined with something that makes people enthusiastic to register and participate.

It is fantastic to read all those backgrounds! Here is mine and looking forward to participate in this community 🙂
1. What country do you live in?
I am living in a very tiny tiny town in the Netherlands where we have more cows then humans.
2. What musical instrument(s) do you play and when did you start playing?
I play guitar, keys and a bit of duduk and alto flute. I started playing guitar when I was 15
3. Do you sing?
Just for fun and for myself.
4. What level of experience do you have with audio engineering?
I studied first jazz guitar at the conservatory, but switched after a year to classical composition and had second study in electro acoustic engineering. Been working since 2004 in the industry professionally. First decade a (techincal) sound engineer at companies such as Blizzard and later my own game audio production company and later on I moved to producing production and trailer music. Since 2017 I have my own sound design company and having a blast with it! Think my experience with audio engineering is ok.
5. What genres of music do you play?
As guitar player I love prog rock and metal. As piano player I love playing classical (though I am not good at it). As key/synth player I love ambient stuff.
6. What are some of the musical artists and music that inspire you?
Classical: Mahler, Shostakovich, Ravel, Messiaen, Stockhausen, John Adams, Philip Glass
Pop/rock/prog: Plini, Guns and Roses, Dream Theater, Yes, Ayreon. David Bowie (big fan!)
Soundtrack: John Powell, Ramin Djawadi, Hans Zimmer, John Williams7. Do you do music as a hobby, semi-professionally, or professionally? If you’re a hobbyist did you once do music professionally or semi-professionally?
