This was surprisingly disappointing.

Good thing the download comes with a data sheet. Except for the impact sounds (which all sound more or less the same), every file sounded like someone swirling their hand in a bowl of wet noodles.

I don’t think I’m going to update my FX Collection from 3 to 5, but I’m on v9 of V Collection and I’m tempted by all the augmented instruments.

@mustakatu I’m with you.  I tried Nembrini too and just wasn’t satisfied.   I just found this demo of the SLL.  Just doesn’t sound like it’s quite there to me.

They is IKM’s weird upgrade plans. MAXGrade is an upgrade from any max product, for example Amplitube 5 MAX. Upgrade is from a previous version of Total Studio MAX. So currently, the upgrade is more expensive than the MAXgrade which defies logic.

MAXgrade/upgrade? What’s the difference ?

I actually bought one of these years ago and they’re actually quite well done and money well spent if you’re looking for an accordion.  As a bonus, for a meager $5.36 you can introduce your friends and family to the joys of polka music!

I got this one years ago, and for $1 it’s a great deal.

You’ve got that right!  It’s a tad overwhelming.  I’ve got my eye on quite a few others, and we haven’t even gotten to the actual Black Friday yet.  And right behind that is Cyber Monday.  It’s going to be a heck of a month!

I always struggle with getting an acoustic mic’ed right, in spite of the fact that the rest of the world seems to do it fairly easily, so I’m definitely going to test drive this thing.  I’ve tried other plugins in the past that never seemed to get it right, but maybe this is the one.

I just upgraded/installed 15 and the VST2 button (to add support for them) is still in the Plugin Manager window as it was in 14.  I don’t actually have any VST2s on my system though.  The big feature for me was application zoom. Well, what can I say, they’re pretty pretty good: exquisite piano apps (Relic!) and drums (Legend!) but also pretty sweet guitars (Cinedream!) and I loooove their Finishers (Boost!).
But their Zimmer stuff is next level as it makes orchestral sounds quite usable.

Yeah. It never seizes to amaze me how much more effort some companies put into driving customers away instead of getting the free PR and good word of mouth for relatively little to no effort. But when the message is practically “Your investment is not safe with us” it’s kind of really easy to skip buying from such vendors.
