Madison Cunningham is an amazing talent. She represents one of the times that the Grammy’s got it right. Her name is up there with Jeff Buckley and Kevin Gilbert, IMO. Her voice, her playing (she plays guitar, bass, piano, and drums) are simply wonderful.
As people age, they’re prone to keep listening to the same old music and close their ears to what’s new (and I realize that Madison has been around several years, but to many middle-aged folks, she’s “new”). I understand that. But I don’t relate to it. I’ve always found incredible joy in hearing new music, new sounds, new voices and fresh ideas. It’s a wonderful, beautiful experience when you hear something new, and if you keep your ears open you can experience that. If you’re not already familiar with the music of Madison Cunningham, please give this a listen.
