It was at least a decade and a half ago when I became familiar with singer/songwriter Reid Jamieson. He’s an incredibly talented artist from Vancouver. He has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard in rock and he’s a very talented songwriter. I might have learned of him through Wilco, as they are huge fans, and some band members worked with him on one of his albums. Reid has done a bunch of CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) shows with just an acoustic guitar and his voice, and that’s all he needs. I find that he’s criminally underappreciated. Give him a listen. I’ll share more of his music and covers below.

When I first heard Reid’s music, I bought every CD he had. I compared his talent to Jeff Buckley. It’s a testimony to how screwed up the industry is that he isn’t a name every rock musician knows. I try to do my part and tell others about him.

Just got round to listening as have been back on my old stomping ground of Bradford for a few days – nice!
