I’m listening to the music of my late friend Cory Pelizzari. Some folks — not enough for his talent — knew him as an influencer. I used to refer to him as the only influencer I ever respected (considering that I’ve known a bunch of influencers, I realize that may not sit well with people, but it’s true). Like all the rest of us, Cory was certainly imperfect. But he was also pretty wonderful. And I wish I could have spent more time with him and I wish he was part of this. I’m not the only one in this community who felt that way about him either. I know one friend here who also knew and cared about Cory. Yes, there would be one influencer here that I would have given carte blanche. Only one. He was not only a very talented musician who wrote beautiful songs, he had a great voice.

Life is precious, take no one for granted. I knew that very well by the time I met Cory. I wish I could have made a difference. Rest in peace, my friend. How I wish things turned out differently. Cory’s music and Cory himself inspire me.
