I’m going to join you guys and update to the latest version from Studio One Pro 3, but I’m holding out until Black Friday.
I’ve already been spending so much of my life working on this site, I haven’t had much time for making music. I’m excited about the features that Studio One Pro 7, but I admit, I’m not looking forward to having to learn a new DAW. Inertia keeps a lot of us using complex software even when we know something else superior exists. The learning curve has been a major factor in my not making the leap from Cakewalk by BandLab. My experience with the original Cakewalk . Twelve Tone goes back to either the late 80s or early 90s. I was using Sonar from the first version. I had dabbled into Fruity Loops (it’s original name) and a couple other DAWs, but I was simply so familiar with Sonar, while I liked the other software, I had known Sonar so well, it would take me a very long time to learn something else as well. When it comes to marketing strategy, a good marketer understands the importance of inertia in keeping customers loyal. It’s really been the foundation of my sticking with CbB since BandLab bought Cakewalk’s assets. I’m starting to watch videos on Studio One Pro 7 to get more familiar with it. But I do dread the hassle of having to learn a new DAW.
